GRAND WAZOO was formed in mid-1981 at St Kilda, Melbourne by Musician Arranger, Composer John Montesante, who still leads the band today .  John created an exceptional Australian Soul Extravaganza and Concert band, which introduced Afro-American Soul hits and dance repertoires, as well as rare Soul gems, and Grand WaZoo band originals in that same brassy, big Soul style. Now, 38+ years later Grand WaZoo remains THE BAND OF CHOICE for those who require superb Music, unrivaled entertainment value & first-class professionalism in Venues, Media, Festival, Concert, Major Events, Studio, Private or Corporate environments.
