MAT JODRELL is widely recognised as one of this generation’s finest Trumpet players. He has wowed international and local audiences since his late teens.  He spent eight years in New York, mixing it with the best Jazz artists and teaching at the prestigious Juilliard School, alongside Wynton Marsalis.


He has also featured at international Jazz festivals and clubs and recorded  as a featured artist on many prominent albums with the ‘Who’s Who’ of Jazz.


After returning to Australia, Grand WaZoo was honoured that he joined the line up in late 2015, along with his other great endeavours as a soloist, composer, performer  with the best, and also is a Jazz educator at James Morrison’s Jazz Academy.


It is always a joy to have Mat on the bandstand, because apart from his genius, he is also a great guy.
